I am a cinematographer based in Toronto, Canada. With roots in experimental filmmaking and documentary, I draw from a variety of techniques and methods that cross genre lines and formats, however my focus is primarily on cinematography for long form storytelling.
Recent feature films include THE PRISON IN TWELVE LANDSCAPES, directed by Brett Story (winner of the Hot Docs Special Jury Prize, Best Canadian Feature at DOXA, New York Times Critics' Pick) and MICHAEL SHANNON MICHAEL SHANNON JOHN by longtime collaborator, director Chelsea McMullan (VIFF '15, True/False, RIDM '16). Beginning its festival run in November is Joyce Wong's debut feature film WEXFORD PLAZA, premiering at the Torino Film Festival and having its North American premiere at Slamdance. After premeiring at TIFF in 2016, the feature film BELOW HER MOUTH, directed by April Mullen and produced by Melissa Coghlan at Serendipity Point Films, is being released widely in Canadian cinemas February 2017. And airing now on CBC is Catherine Reitman's comedy series WORKIN' MOMS, which I had the pleasure to serve as DP on for Season One's 13 episodes.
I am an Associate Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and a Director of Photography with the International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 667.
